Saw one of my idols today!! Yevgeny Sudbin!!! Haha… Got his autograph too… Gosh, he’s not that charismatic, but he’s damn handsome! I thought he changed his look, obviously not… He looks solemn; very quiet a person… The first time I watched him perform was Oct 14, Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1… He didn’t really play that well, or rather, the work as a whole, wasn’t really well displayed. He performed again today, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23… Mozart wrote a total of 27, by the way… So he came out, haha… tall and skinny guy… reminds me of matt, as in the way he shook his hand with the concert master (konzertmeister)… haha… Anyway, he played alright only… He played an encore, a Scarlatti sonata, wow, it’s like the audience paid for the concert just to watch that Scarlatti… It received more response than Mozart’s work… Haha… I tell you, his Scarlatti sounded sweet… Seriously… I should have had a masterclass with him for my Scarlatti sonata before my exam! haha… Anyway, I’d say today’s not-so-good performance has to be partly blamed on the orchestra… So harsh on the piano… Gosh… When will they ever learn? They’ve played a few piano concertos already, and they’re still like that… Nvm… 10 more years…
OH! I was surprised, after his autograph session, WHICH I DID GET ONE, he went into the concert hall for the 2nd half of the programme (his performance was the whole of the 1st half)… The 2nd half of the programme is Elgar’s Symphony No. 2… Wanna guess what’s the length of it? Be surprised… ONE HOUR!!!! Crazy or what… Edmund and I were like half dead… Oh yeah, speaking of 2nd half… Haha… We bought cat 4 tickets you see (because there’s student discount), and we observed that the circle 1 foyer seats were empty! so we sneaked downstairs haha… CAT 2 SEATS LEH!!! Good place for viewing, and SLEEPING! But no, we didn’t sleep, AT LEAST I didn’t… Not sure about Edmund though… Haha… Oh yeah, there was this guy, playing his MP3 so loudly, and making so much noises… Some angmoh… Think he’s drunk…
My heel hurts like hell… Don’t know why… I woke up in the morning, and I felt that pain there… I wasn’t walking properly since then… I think I sprained my nerve…
After the last post, something happened again, shan’t elaborate though… Thought much after last night’s conversation… Anyway, stay tuned for 3rd Apr… Surprise!! Okay, gotta do some work now (don’t tell you…) haha… Oh yea! HAPPY APRIL FOOLS’ DAY!

Extending my passport tmr and buying tix… Then nothing to do le… Go home rest… I need some after today’s german… Gosh, it was energy-draining.
Something struck my mind… I always hear or read about people talking about other people… Like saying that person is selfish, for example, but have they ever thought, are they that perfect? Nvm… Just some wild thoughts…
Next question… A man was jogging in the wild, and he got attacked by a wild bear… Should you call the police? Yes? Ok… And what would the police’s response be? Jokingly, this is my answer… “What the hell is the man doing in the wild?” He got attacked by a wild bear in the wild… Yeah, that’s because you trepassed into his home… Serves you right. So the debate was, ’should the bear be shot?’ 2 sides, animal rights and human rights… Take your stand…
Life can be simple if we want to lead one… Simple doesn’t mean boring… If you can obtain fun from a simple life, that’s beauty… I have a dream, but that is of wishful thinking. Just to do music and nothing else. I just want to live in an all-music life… Wake up in the morning, do music, and all the way till the end of the day. Do music in the sense, you play, you practise, you perform, you teach, etc. Again, that’s wishful thinking, well, at least for me.
Woke up with a few mosquito bites this morning, guess the mosquito really loves me alot. Kissed me more than my gf did last night… Haha… So you can imagine how many…

Variations of someone’s theme is sometimes draggy… I fear hearing that of Brahms… I will CRY! Coz it’s really boring… Perhaps I have yet to understand the beauty of it… But well, I sort of admired Rachmaninov as a performer… He said that he’d observe his audience and leave out some variations if the audience show signs of boredom… Well, haha… Cute aye? He was referring to his ‘Variations on a theme by Corelli’… But hey, I thought it was a nice work… Haha…
I had a mood swing today!!! Just before I left for german class. I know what’s the reason, but I shan’t tell you why, only Darling will know, but that is if you want to know why ba… Haha… But was ok on the way to class… haha… In that 10 minutes, I think I pissed my maid the most… haha… She said ‘you’re gonna miss my cooking’ (because I wasn’t gonna have dinner at home), and I replied ‘like i care, not as if i will die if i don’t eat.’ Ok… I think that is like “WHAT’S WITH YOUR BLOODY ATTITUDE?!”
I was asked to go do my stuff. But I had nothing against you looking through the photos… =\
Even if you start thinking about stuff, I can’t do anything, because that’s what photos do. Forget it.

Had an appointment this morning… Just came home, had lunch, played the piano for half an hour and now, I’m blogging. Was checking through my mails and then saw the change of pianist for this sat’s concert!! Edmund!!! Go see!!! Haha… We thought of going, but in the end gave up the idea because it was Nicholas Angelich playing; not that fantastic you know… This sat’s concert now changed to Yevgeny Sudbin because of Angelich’s ‘poor health’ (quoted from SSO). Anyway, Ed and I sort of like this pianist… We first saw him in Tchai 1… He’s quite technical, but guess he was overpowered by the orchestra that night, so didn’t really put up a fantastic show, sadly… So, Edmund, you free?!! Haha…
Went out with gf yesterday. Took some shots; the sticker ones (i have no idea what it’s called, neo-print is it?), and handphone candid shots!! Haha… Changed my screen saver because she said it wasn’t so nice ;p
We stopped by Sasa at Bugis, she went in to greet someone while I stayed outside (anti-social)… Saw a school mate (from NP), he must be wondering why I was standing outside a pro-lady’s shop, ALONE… lol… Anyway, yesterday was wonderful with a nice company =)
Anyway, was looking for two recordings yesterday, BUT I CAN’T FIND THEM…. haiz… forget it…
Had some feelings to write down, but I guess, forget it…
Going for german later… Deutsch, Deutsch, Deutsch… It’s making me go mad!!!

Sunday was alright… Vaccuum cleaned my carpet under my piano coz it’s darn dusty. Not much happened on Sunday, except working on my Mozart.
Monday: Monday blues!! Got woken up by my gf’s message… Not so nice though… A ‘misunderstanding’ happened. Hopefully everyone’s feeling alright now… Practised the piano real hard today. My goal is to finish learning the 1st movement in a week’s time, in terms of everything. I’m left with the end of the recapitulation which is like killing me because of the ‘broken chords’-like-notes. Need to get the right fingering. The coda has a section with the same notes structure. Also fingering work… Dotz… The sonata is really beautiful. I quite enjoy playing it. THen I saw that it was written in early summer… Can’t imagine playing it with my enthusiasm and vigour in SUMMER!!! Haha… That’s how I’m feeling right now… THe weather’s darn warm! Hopefully I present it decently on Saturday! While practising at night, remembered that I’ve still got the 2nd movement to improve on!!! Ah!!!!! Nvm, I’m just gonna finish up the 1st movement first.
Learned some new things in music today. Good learning experience =)
Anyway, till then. I’ve got a fear. I shan’t say now…

mood: pissed
first things first. I’m gonna make clear a couple of points. No. 1. I’m serving jail term ON MY OWN ACCORD!!! Reason being I committed ‘offences’ that are rather unpleasant and not so forgiving. That jail term is to give me a week’s time to isolate and reflect, not because my girlfriend made me do it.
No. 2. I’m not going for the dinner tmr because I’m NOT FREE! Not because of my girlfriend. Why am I not free? I shan’t tell you.
Conclusion: Stop PISSING MY GIRLFRIEND OFF!!! AND STOP SAYING IT’S HER FAULT FOR EVERYTHING!! Find out what’s really happening FROM ME FIRST. Stop making stupid assumptions from blog entries! Seriously, you guys are just trying to be dumb. That’s what I feel.

mood: pretty bad
Went for TKKYIA today… It’s at Bipolis Street, somewhere in Buona Vista… We were supposed to meet in NP first because transportation had to be provided for the product (USV)… In the end, we took Mr. Teo’s mini van there… Gosh, it’s damn crammed! Anyway, reached the destination about 15 minutes before the competition. Did our setup, but Renand wasn’t there yet… We were ringing him till crazy! Finally he came, 5 minutes before it started! *phew* Anyway, we were totally humiliated in the room. Gosh… I don’t wanna explain. That totally blew my mood… I reflected on the whole event, but I thought there’s no point in writing them down… So forget it…
Then I went to Clementi to meet Edmund… Didn’t know he met Christine and her cousin too… Only found out just before leaving school. Erm, we went for lunch at Raffles City SC… Then the ladies went for ice-cream, think it’s Ben & Jerry… Anyway, went to Prime Centre to pay for the trip deposit then left for piano class… Chatted with Mr. Ku again… I always find it enjoyable to talk to him. It’s nice to hear his stories… He explained some things to me which I will keep in mind. And he hopes I’ll be attending the junior recital next Thur… Hm, ok. I’ll be there… Anyway, left for home. Had dinner, played the piano, practised a little, along the way, was message-ing Christine.
I offended 2 crimes. I shan’t elaborate. Apparently, it’s too serious for any forgiveness. And even mercy is shown, it’ll be hard to forget. Didn’t know what I could contribute was so worthless… Yes. I’m at fault. I’m sorry. I’m deeply remorseful.
I’ll be ’staying away’ for the coming week. Take it as I’m serving jail sentence for a week, hopefully I can redeem myself. None of you will hear from me, except through this blog.
